Japan has much to contribute on this type of experience and Cuba has much to learn in this regard. However, there are number of examples that point to Cuba's relevance in international cooperation in areas such as health, education, biopharmaceuticals and biotechnology, which represent high potential for capacity building and the promotion of endogenous development. Therefore, it is possible to identify a series of potentialities for the advancement of this type of undertakings between Cuba and Japan in the region.},
